J.R. Jones
Bass Guitar

I was born in Richmond, Virginia, and raised in Richmond, Atlanta GA, and Harrisonburg, VA. My favorite hobby was playing baseball. As a child, I had a few years of music training on piano, trumpet, and organ. But I started playing bass at age 18 for the school jazz band and in local garage bands. I stopped playing at age 22, then I picked it up again in 2009. I got married in 1982 and have one daughter. I have worked as a Construction Site Laborer, Busboy, a Grill Cook in a Steak House, Cleaner/Janitor, and Hospital Orderly. I am now a Certified Accountant.

I was saved on the morning of December 7, 2003.  Listening to the great artists of contemporary Christian music has brought me through some really tough times of despair and doubt.  My prayer is that the Lord will use our ministry to give his children great joy in their worship, to help bolster those believers who are at a low point and need a little refresher, and to reach those who are seeking but haven’t yet truly heard and understood the message of love and redemption offered by the spirit of the living God.
